Hey Folks,
I recently managed to get my hands on an AC3.

It's the regular model with temp probe, ph probe and 8 ports.

Now, I have it hooked up into my modem.
I see the IP, DNS, 2nd DNS, gateway, subnet mask, etc.
When I type the IP address:port or just the IP address into my webbrowser nothing comes up.

The ethernet port on my AC3 blinks green and yellow appropriately.
When I 'ping' the AC3 using the IP address there is a response.
However, when typing in the same IP into the address bar I get nothing.

I have no interest in manually setting up 8 ports.

Also, I do have the Apex Jr. and was able to get it at least on my own LAN without help just using the IP. So, I know that my net connection, etc is fine. I've even disconnected my Apex Jr from the LAN to try and run only the AC3 on the existing ethernet port to no avail.

What else do I do?

i have an ap that tells me what my ip is...and that's what it says. when logged into my router it says the same thing.

If that is odd, I would have no clue. I know nothing terribly useful about these sorts of things which is why I am hoping to be helped.

the apex ip under network set up is 192.168.0.15. I have it hosted on no-ip.biz when I needed to set it up to gain access outside of my network. So, now I type in my no0ip .biz site in order to login to the apex instead of the actual ip.

I can't say that i can explain to you how it is set up and why because i simply set the apex up as told.

i have a netgear router.

are you typing in the address correctly. if your apex jr is on 192.168.0.15 than the ac3 can only be on 192.168.0.50 the last two is the address that each device connects under. you would either have to manually change the ip address on the ac3 so the first set of digit to 192.168.0.xx sorry not familiar with the ac3 but I know on the regular apex you can manually change the ip address through the display unit.

oy oy oy....

I have no idea what I was doing wrong but it works now.

3 wks later and I still dont know what I just did that made it work.
I was playing around inside of the router and playing around with the numbers of all of hte gateways/masks/etc

now it works. All I did was change the IP to 0.50:90 . I did that because in my router to ping the controller it would only let me change the last 3 digits.
But that still doesnt make sense because that is still the default which is what I tried 3 wks ago!!!

Thank you Timberwolf. You've been patient and I appreciate the back and forth. I have no clue as to what just made it work, but perhaps its not feeling alone in this.

Thanks!
