Retro fit Gen1 to Gen3 Radion

What do people think of having the Radion Gen1 converted to a Gen3 by EcoTech marine for $175. Is it worth it?

I didn't know you can upgrade from the Gen1 to Gen3. I will have to check it out. For me, the price would be worth it. Although I would allow for at least a year or 2 on the Gen1. There is an interesting thread on RC about the lifespan of LEDs that got me thinking it would be worth it for the upgrade.
