I have a reeflo hammerhead gold pump. I have had this pump for approx almost 3 years. the problem I am having is its appears to me its not functioning right. I look into my sumo in the basement and the water level is low. I go back upstairs, go back down into the basement and the water level has risen. I look at the tank and my water level is just below the rim. I look again and its way over. The water in the tank will be low then all of a sudden there is a burst of water coming out the loc lines and there is water spewing into my tank filled with air bubbles. This will commence for a little while then stopping. Then it will do it again. When I do my water change I fill the sump to the appropriate level. turn the pump back on and everything is good. I will go into the basement and look at the water level of the sump and the sump is damn near empty. I know for a fact water doesn't evaporate that quickly especially in the basement and with it being as cold as it is outside. Does anyone have any suggestions of why my pump is acting this way or what the problem is? thank you

do you have a durso standpipe in your tank in the overflow... I would check if the air hole is clogged and start from there. It sounds like water isn't flowing down the pipe. Something maybe blocking the line as well...

How long have you had this pump for. Have you tryed shutting off completely and then turning it back on?
