I have two Vertex containers that I just installed for my calcium and alkalinity dosing pumps. I looks like there is some air in the lines. There appear to be "nuts" where you insert the tubing on the top of the containers, but they don't budge. I don't want to force them off. I saw a photo on another forum, and indeed, they had been removed and they had threads. Mine seem to be glued. As a result, the tube are not well secured, and causing some air bubbles in the lines. Has anybody had experience with the Vertex containers? How do I get a better seal?

Thanks!

I have them, you can remove those "nuts" on top with a pair of pliers, turn them counter-clockwise. To fix the bubble issue, there are 2 ways.

1. Once removed "nuts" put plumbing tapes around the "nut" thread, screw back in. Then, use acrylic glue on the under side of the lid where the red tubing is, the contact point of that to the lid might have a gap leaking air in, make a complete circle seal with the glue.

2. IF the above doesn't work, unscrew the "nut", toss it in the garbage and just run a long silicon tube straight from your doser into the red tube and all the way down to the bottom of the vessel. No air leaks while keeping the the good white/red look somewhat.

Tried to remove them, They would not budge. The plastic was shredding. Could mine be glued?
