So, I have a question. I have a par 30 that I took apart and would love to mount it to a 24" retrofit t5 i have. figured i could possibly mount it with thermal paste on the underneath above the t5's which i have confirmed will fit. Do you think the metal casing would possibly be able to dissipate the heat while acting as a head sink? i havent tried it yet because i want to get some suggestions. i could probably try to maybe cut out a section and mount some sort of heatsink in the bottom but im not sure.
if this wouldnt work maybe ill just get a long skinny heatsink and try to do individual leds.
