I was doing a comparison of the skimmer i currently use vs the model which is one teir higher. It appears the only difference is height of the unit (water mass) and the air intake. Can someone explain how these two things change the rating? Below are the specs for both units. Information found on aquacave.com. .....and does anyone know what "comparative Rating" is?

ive questioned several manufactures in reguards to this subject and was given a b.s reply from the companies that did reply
