Anyone own the aqueon 3000 return pump and can give a review on it?supposedly from the very few reviews I read it consists of people that only had it for a minimal amount of time.but from what I read its a powerful but quiet pump ...which every pump review has to say

The aqueon quiet flows only came out recently. I installed a few on setups I did for people. They're the same exact dimensions as the marineland euros(green and grey ones) were and seem to be comparable.

The ones I installed were very quiet. I never installed the director they come with because I didn't want customers that were new in the hobby to not be able to spot something they put in their sump whether accidentally or on purpose not realizing it would do that if it gets sucked against the pump and caused issues.

They have the actual rated flow it seemed. I honestly think they are the euro design but manufactured now for aqueon- they were too close of a match and acted too similar.

Thanks for the info..I was thinking the same thing about them being the marineland pumps..I currently have the eheim 1262 which proved to be everything people say as far as power but the humming that comes out of it can be heard and felt thruout the entire house...mag drives aren't efficient and can be quite noisy aswell. was going to opt out and get a quiet one 3000 but for longerity proved to be no good either so I pulled the trigger and ordered a aqueon 3000....will see how it goes, I'll do a follow up as far as a review
Thanks again!and if there are any other owners of this pump please share your reviews

You swapped it in place of the 1262? Good to know

I had borrowed the 1262 from another member as mine was awaiting its arrival(I have no patience)and by no means am I knocking the eheim 1262 as it is an awesome pump that ALOT of members here will swear by.i guess it all comes down to the setup...I knew ahead of time I would have a lot of vibration as all my plumbing was pvc and was also strapped to the inside back of my stand but for only having a 60 cube I found the 1262 to be way to much overkill for what I needed it for.if I went with tubing thru out I'm sure it would be 10 times quieter that it was.as far as the aqueon 3000 as noted from jimmy it is everything I needed in a pump-quiet,powerful and as time will tell efficient
