SKIMZ SM 121 Monzter E-Series - In-Sump Protein Skimmer

anyone owns this skimmer or any of the skimz line ? what do you guys think of it and does the pump have the old start up issue ? any info is greatly appreciated

been running the recirculating model of this skimmer and i havnt have any issue. great quality and build. the pump is quiet. only draw back is there is no drain hole in the cup.

adjustment is not sensitive at all - dont really like it personally
other than that. no complains. cup full of dark smelly gunk every week =D

Just got mine up and running I like very much. Just make sure to put at the right water level. And a ATO is a must.

i beta tested the sm202 for them, skimmer body is probably one of the best built, pump is almost dead silent and actually puts out higher numbers then they say

Got the skimz sm163 dc skimmer love it so far

I had the Warner Marine version of this skimmer (almost exactly the same, if I remember correctly) and it was a great skimmer. You might want to get the next size up for a 60 if you're going to stock it heavily.
