I currently have a 1262 running for my return pump. I find it a little noisy and not enough flow where i can build a manifold that can run my return,Uv,Brs React and small refuge. I was thinking of going with a flow star 1500 pump. Anyone have experience with them. Is there a way to build a manifold to run all these things. Is it strong enough to get the job done. Is it quiet. all equipment are in the sump under tank so not much head pressure involved. Please feel free to post pictures if you like.
My tank is a 140gal tank

dave one of the things ive found to help cut noise and vibration was a piece of exercise mat under the pump and sump as well as using a piece of regular hose attached to the pump and then attach it to either flex or pvc

Look into DC5050 or one of those wave blasters, I like the DC pumps and Warren likes the wave blasters. Both are quieter than the Ehiems.

I am not a big fan of AirStar/Flowstar pumps. The starting torque makes a loud noise in my skimmer and shakes the skimmer a lot.

What skimmer do you have with that pump. I'm upgrading from the atb 840 v2 to the atb 8.5 deluxe.
You know us sps freaks. Want to try and over skim a bit because I feed very have and have alot of fish.

I have a 140gal tank
30gallon sump
A 20gallon refuge
A BRS reactor
Total water is about 175
Gallons

The 8.5 is rated for upto 580 gallons. Do you think it's to much. The 840 is only rated for 250.
