Hi guys,
I just got a jbj 1/4 HP and i plumbed it inline with my return. I'm running an eheim compact 5000 rated at a max flow of 1320. Does anyone know what the head loss is on this chiller? I have an additional 4 foot head loss from the chiller to the top of my tank. The chiller requires a minimum flow of 480 gph and i want to make sure im at least hitting that. The eheim has an adjustable dial which allows you a range of 600 to 1320 gph and I currently have it set about 3/4 of the way up (1150ish). I started questioning it when i ran my chiller and it took about 30 mins to drop my temp 1 degree...I figured a 1/4 jbj on my 100 gallon system would be a lot faster and Im thinking that maybe the flow isnt strong enough. I do not have any more room in my sump for a bigger return pump. Any thoughts?
thanks
