mp40w question

If I have 2 vortech MP40w 2nd gen PH, can I just purchase 1 controller in order to upgrade them or do I need 2 separate controllers?

Also, what is the difference between the 2nd gen and the current MP40s other then ecosmart?
Can I still sync them without upgrading and i yes, how?

Sorry for newb questions, but never had vortechs before.

thanks. got most my questions answered there. reading thorugh the manual for the 2nd gen mp40s. still dont know if I can buy just 1 controller to use with both PHs?

Each pump requires a controller. It is the controllers that talk to each other wirelessly not the pumps themselves.
