BM Doser

I just bought a Bm t01. How far away from sump can I put doser? I keep some equipment in the closet behind my tank and would like to put the doser in there as well .

i have mine right next to the sump, i prob. shouldnt but no water splashes on it and and the back is open on my stand so im not worried about humidity.
