ati lighting suggestions

So I'm moving at the then end of next year(yes I know its about year away). Anyway this means upgrade!!! I have 125 lps and 36bow sps. I was showing my girlfriend tanks while we were a aquarium village and she loved the cube tanks which is perfect because that's what I want. So we are going to do two 90cubes. Anyway I'm looking to upgrade my lighting on my 36bow from a 4x39w bulb tek with supplemented leds to a 6bulb ati with leds. I was thinking why buy a 6x39w bulb then upgrade again later so I rather fully upgrade and use my apex to just run 6bulbs instead of all of them. My question is... would an 8x39w bulb ati be good for a 90cube or would I need a 10bulb for sps? I would also use blue leds on the cube for the shimmer. Thanks!

8x39 is plenty light i run ati 8x54 watts on 120 and have 90% sps in my system ! yu will be running about 3.5 watts per gallon ( I'm running 3.6 watts per gallon) i have a Maxima clam at the bottom for near 3 years now and keeping its colors ! remember that once you get your lighting water must be pristine as well itis not just about the lighting !! good luck and post pic

Thanks for the info! I just want to make sure I have don't have to upgrade my lighting for no reason. That's why I went with a smaller tank for the sps to get use to the routine off keeping clean and stable water conditions. I definitely will post pics up eventually of my current tanks but will post pics of the upgrade process when I move. Thanks again for the help!!
