I have an older Euroreef skimmer , have had it for years, never had a problem , thing works great. I just changed sumps , put the skimmer in the new sump and now this thing is giving me a headache LOL. The cup just keeps filling up , like the water level is too high but it isn't. The adjustment pipe on the side is all the way down but the cup still fills up in 20 min.I checked the pump and don't see any restrictions on the air intake that might be causing it. The sedra 3500 pump is only a month old . I have used NSW in my tanks for the last 7 yrs or so .The only thing that I did different was that I ran out of NSW and made up a batch of saltwater to add to the new sump.... about 2.5 gallons. Maybe it's the water ???? I find that hard to believe but don't know...anything is possible in this hobby.....

Any ideas/input would be appreciated.

how deep of water is it in ? and did you put any slime coat or anything else in tank , might pull the airline anyways but the amount of bubbles doubt it is any restriction on the air line

The water depth is only 7in same as it was before ....no slime coat or Anything added to the water.
I ve been in this hobby a long time and this is very puzzling. I cannot seem to adjust this skimmer and I never had a problem before.if you look you can see the water level in the skimmer ...not too high but there is a ton of foam...i

Only thing different was adding the 2.5 gal water, that I made up, with the natural sea water in the tank. I'm now thinking that was it since I never did that before and I have never had this problem before. Maybe something with the water chemistry...i'll let the tank run a few days and then turn the skimmer back on and see what happens.

Thanx for the input guys...I think it was mixing the saltwater I made with the NSW in my tank since That was the only thing different that I did. I left the skimmer off yesterday and just now turned it on and it's back to normal.
The only sure way to tell is to make up a batch of saltwater and do another small water change and see what happens.
