ATI Powermodule on Solana.

OK. I'm going with a Solana for my next tank. The solana is 20x 20x 20. This is a great set of dimensions, however the light I want is the ATI Powermodule, and the light is aprox 23 inches wide.

I know there were a few people who had a PM or similar light on their tanks.

Opinions? Thoughts from current or previous users?

Thanks. I'm just not sure I'm going to like how it will look. I know it will work out and light up the tank, though.

I think this tank is where I got the idea from. Unfortunately there aren't too many pics of how the light looked on the tank (not colors, etc as those were outstanding) but of the fixture itself. There are a few, but I was hoping for more/different views.

The fact alone that it is raised 6-8" off the waterline will negate the fact that its wider then your tank. NP DOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTT

Listen, A 24" light over a 20" tank - 2" overhang on each side.

8"-10" above the tank and you will barely realize.

This is a 20x20x20 tank with a 6x24w ATI Sunpower suspended 8" above the tank.

The powermodule is 22" wide. It looks fine ascetically. You hardly notice any overhang on a solana.

Well.. I found a good deal on a 4 bulb PM on RC.. looks like it will be shipped here tomorrow . Four bulbs will be plenty for the 16inch width and LPS/Acan stock I'm planning on.

Glad to see this build for you man. Going from the cube you gave me, to the 60 and now this seems good for you. The solana is a good medium you'll be happy with it. And ace move going with the 24' ATI

I'm going a different direction trading the 60 cube for a 150! Buying Dace's 48' 8bulb power module
