Upgrade happening sooner than expected

So I planned on upgrading around April-May but I couldn't resist, especially for the price. So I purchased a 90g with cherry stand and canopy. I guess I need to start doing the breakdown so I have somewhere to put the 90

I went with a Deep Blue 90.

Am looking forward to going back to a traditional tank setup, I got the RSM originally because I didn't want the pups to get into anything dangerous. Well they haven't shown any interest to the reactor or chiller so I feel comfortable that they won't try anything when I'm not looking.

I'll post pics later on but it's just a normal 90. It won't look like anything special. I do really like the stand though. It has dual doors on the front but no center vertical support so I can slide the sump in and don't have to go from the top down so it'll be easier to do anything as time goes on.

Nice! Congrats on the upgrade. If i was you id go for a baffled tank for a sump. I've heard too many complaints about the pre made sumps. A 30 gale would work nice on a 90. Good luck with it

Thanks,
I had an aqueon before and liked it a lot. My original sump I made with a 29G failed( one of the corners let go, not any of the stuff i added to it) got one and had good luck with it. I'll be moving to PA within a years time. That's when I'll do my own again.

I actually decided to go with my favorite skimmer brand Ive ever used - Bermuda Aquatics. Picking up an 8C from Russ. Thanks as always Russ. I'll be getting a Little Giant and drill the sump to run the external pump and add a square bubble trap around where I run the skimmer(which will be external also) discharge to so the return pump won't pick up any micro bubbles.

OK, that makes it better!;)

For some ;)

Going to break down the RSM tomorrow. Should be fun lol. It'll just be another step in the hobby.

1st tank was a biocube 29G <-DISASTER from the get go lol
2nd tank was my AGA 65G <- was a great tank but I was in a bad place for a while so I unfortunately wound up neglecting a lot of stuff tank included, the sump failure was the last straw involved in crashing it.

3rd tank <- my current RSM

Now it's time for the 90. Should be awesome and the RSM is going to a great person

Tank, stand and canopy officially paid for. Will be bringing it home tomorrow. Then have to wait for the sump to arrive as well as deciding how I'm going to go aquascape wise.

Most likely going to go with dry rock seeded with some live. Just have to pick out the pieces I want. Looking forward to the build.
