calibrate PH Probe

I just got in my lab grade ph probe( neptune systems) i need to calibrate it, and of course there's no instructions. I need to know:

1. what solutions do i use 4.00, 7.00,10.00? how much of the liquid do i use the whole packet? do they get mixed with each other?
2. do i mix it in that cap or or do i put it in a container of some sort? with salt water? rodi? or just the liquid alone?

I think i got the 7 and 10 packets. U cut open the packets one at a time n dip the ph probe in each sep. n calibrate sep.

While they do not ship with instructions. Neptune has buddied up with the guy who wrote the "Unofficial Apex Guide". Now Neptune actually used most of his information and created a real manual. It can be found at their website, has great instructions for beginner to advanced users.

theres a cap on the probe that you need to take off... i made that mistake pretty dumb of me

When calibrating a pH probe you ALWAYS need two points of reference. You ALWAYS need #7 and most reefers use #10 as the second point. Lots of freshwater keepers use #7 and #4.
