How is this skimmer?

Marine depot has 20 percent off Aquamaxx Am 150 .Or Reef Octopus X1000. Looking to know if one is better than the other. Or which one has a better pump than the other.

Aquamaxx is a good skimmer line. They're actually made by JNS, who used to make skimmers for Warner marine.

Which octopus are you referring to? There's a few with a X and 1000 in the name.

If you can fit it, try to get the regular xp1000 with the pump outside the body. There's more contact time for the bubbles to rise.

The xp (full cone version) has great reviews. I've used the SRO 1000 which is a semi cone and was very pleased with it.

Pat for your 90, if you can fit it, get the SRO 1000 comes with the Bubble Blaster pump...the Aquamaxx uses a Sedra
