Many folks will use a clip on fan - should be able to get one at any drug chain (CVS, Duane Reade etc...). These will often lower the temp by a couple of degrees, but they will also increase your evaporation rate.

Depending on the type of lighting you have and where your tank is located in your home (basement tanks run cooler), you may still either need a chiller or a whole room A/C to keep the tank cool enough during the summer months.

Some folks who have a controller on their tanks set them so the lighting shuts off when the water reaches a certain temperature.

i will probably go out today and look for a cheap inexpensive clip on fan for my tank.

you can also google it i saw they kinda made one with one of those small refrigerators for your room 50 feet of that ice maker tubing rolled up into a circle and a small pump and they put the line all wrapped up in the freezer box of the fridge i just dont know how they would regulate it i was planing on doing one but gotta do more research google it its a cheap way to make your own chiller you can also reduce the amounts of pumps inside your tank add the fans and what i do now is i keep my ac on when its to hot in my room works great

I have a clip on fan set to come on when necessary with the apex. I also have a water bottle in the freezer with rodi just in case.

I mainly just have temp issues during the months when AC isn't needed. Otherwise with central AC, the room temp is kept in check which helps keep the tank temp in check.
