Most likley your floor joists are running in the right direction from your picture because 99% the hardwood floor would run in the oppisite direction, this is the correct way, but sometimes you will run into it installed in the same direction but this is not very common. If you can somehow locate your floor joists would be good, in the city it is very common for older construction to be further than 16 centers, because they used alot of 3x construction instead of 1.5x. I worked in alot of buildings in queens that were not 16 centers and my sisters house is not 16 centers but its 3x joists. You can have up to 24 inch centers.

thanks for this info im in new jersey and the house is 11 years old... im gonna look in my attic to see what wood they used..hopefully itll be the same wood

how would i find out? is it stamped? it has a wood plastic frame.. was it difficult to swap out the frame? it looks pretty stuck on

you have to cut the trim from the outside glass off first. then use a razor blade and cut all the silicone off the top part of the trim then you can remove the entire trim and scrape the rest of the silicone off then put the new trim on. once it's off its a piece of cake to put back on.

Ok I just got a new 75 tank and when I'm done with swap I'll order the brace and repair it since it will be down... There's a few things I'm gonna due while I have the opportunity to do so...

1. Drill the tank for an over flow in the corner to drop right in my refugium via plumbing (would like some advice if anybody can give me.. Was think maybe a shut off valve for water extraction from display tank anything that would make life easier

2.A new stand I've been wanting a taller stand like 40" for a while just to be more eye leveled but don't know where to find them any suggestions

3. 40lbs of live fine sand to make my sand bed taller

4. Get some nice big pieces of rock so I can step my aqua scraping up.. I have lots of small pieces and there stacked to make nice spots but it's cluttered due to the small pieces

Heres the issue with this...

I'm worried about my cycle being I already have live stock and about 7 fish... I don't want to stress them out.. Do u think it's something not to do or something that can get done?
