Hello,
My 75g has a 6x54w t5 lights setup.

Blue+
Aqua blue special
fiji purple
10K
Blue+
Blue+

Instead of changing t5 bulbs in august, I want to buy LED
Pendants, that can match these 6 bulbs for color & watts.

My guess is 2 pendants should work. I dont have time for diy.

Pls suggest which brand /type of LED pendant to buy and where to buy....is dimmer necessary?

Thanks for advice!

You'll use far less watts of LED to light the tank but your never going to be able to match the color your getting with your T5. If money is no object Radions will get you close after much adjusting of the color balance output from the lights themselves.

What types of coral do you keep? LPS, SPS Mixed? The answer to this would allow the best answer to your question.

IF you must have LED's my suggestion would be 2 Radions at $1500 or 2 AI's although I think coverage may be an issue with 2 AI's, especially if your SPS heavy and quite honestly 4 is a better choice.

Bottom line is for a quality LED setup your looking at $800-1600. Those T5 bubs changes don't seem so bad now do they Lol? Yes you can run the import/knockoff/ebay units but you get what you pay for 99/100 in this hobby.

I just ordered 2 120w ebay led white/blue units.

Whats best way to hang them. lfs has them hanging from a closet maid shelf....which hangs from ceiling.

Mine is a 75g, and in ceiling I have studs in my un finished basement.

Reason is wonder if light needs tobe slided left and right at ease to adjust the light spread.can I use a thick pvc pipe for lights to slide?

Thanks
