U dont want to glue anything onto the wood to use as support for an electrical led unit that sits above your saltwater tank....

+1 think about it do u really want to hooked up $500 + piece of equipment with glue?? :(
Build a canopy install it inside that the way to go...

yeah no bueno on the glue, even if it may hold up strong for a few months, being around all that salt and moisture will weaken the bond over time. i'd say go for a simple wooden canopy and just maybe rest the LED on support beams or hang it from the roof of it.

You will find those any many other options at homedepot. You can even use some conduit, they mill mold it for you there too. Then you can drill a small hole in it pass a bolt on it and some wire ont he fixture and boom your done....

Maybe not as easy.... lol let me know if you need help...

Dear angelo open led lights, take 2 18 inch piece of 2x2 . From above the tank screw thru 3/4 playwood to catch the 2x2 take top part of light make as holes and screw top to 2x2 then put light back together ( u know this u have done it before) I should know I build the whole setup good luck. Any questions u know where I'm at and its not far lol,
