Hello,

I'm setting up a 40g breeder mixed reef. Would like to keep SPS so I know water quality has to me up to par. I have a 20g standard tank with limited space so was thinking a cone or regular skimmer, but don't really want to spend +300. Is their something in the $170-$250 range that skims strong for a small footprint. Was maybe thinking small swc cone or reef octopus cone. I was looking at below. Let me know if someone has similar setup and thoughts. Thank you

No to swc. Owner is a dirtbag. Do a google search regarding illegal importing of live rock and other items...

IF (and it's a big if) you can find a used I-tech 100, that's absolutely your best bet for the budget listed. No contest.

An sro 1000 might be a bit large but it's a good skimmer. Third, take a look at the vertex in-80. It's not a cone but an excellent skimmer none the less.
