He got a great deal on the RKE. To buy new, the apex is the better deal.

Yea after having a reef keeper for about two years I made the switch to the apex and I gotta say I am much happier now

can the apex be run wi-fi or does it have to be hard wired

Wi-fi if u install a wireless bridge or game adapter.

I went with the lite, if you don't need the second ph probe right away its a good option, they don't limit you on the lite like the reef keeper does, you can upgrade as much as you want with it.

I am thinking of the full apex just because if I bought the full version I could sell my multicontroller and use the vdm to control my Tunzes. That would also mean less electronic clutter around my tank.

i have a quick question if i was to get the apex lite can i just set it up for my light timing only?

Sure you can set as little or as much as you want with it. All I have running off mine is my lights, heaters and ATO.

If you set up the port forwarding on your router you can hit the apex from any web browser on any device so yes you could, I don't know if there is an actual app for blackberry though, I use the iPhone one, it's very nice.

yes the application for the iphone i have seen already.....now im thinking of getting an iphone only for that reason James so to control everything on it lol

Check for an app. If not, u can access it from the web browser.
Mine runs 3 lighting plugs, fuge light, 2 heaters, dosing pump, and an 8 plug power strip.
