lighting for a 125 gallon?

would either three 150w halides or 6 80w t5s be ok over a 125 for lps and softies? and which would b better thanx

The 150s would work. I think a 6 bulb T5 fixture would better serve your needs.

I'm pretty confused lol. I am assuming you are talking about a standard 6 ft. 125 gallon tank.

3 150 Watt halides are fine for what you want to keep. LPS in the middle to the top preferrably. You can even do 2x 6 Bulb Tek lights (36 inch and 36 inch) and get away with that.

6x80 watt t5's work great on a 125 (that's what I use). The 4x80 might be a bit to weak.

choose t5 lighting much better color more par just you won't get the shimmer look it !! stay with ati bulb or giesmann good luck post pic once you set it up!!
