i have a tight budget so i dont want to spend 100+ for a cpr aquafuge. i came across this on ebay and i was wondering if i could use this to breed pods with. i already have a light so that wont be an issue. or should i just stick with moding a aquaclear filter

TheSherm, and budddman had modded aquaclears, ask them how the like them..

remember you get what you pay for, it might be good for a while, but what happens in a week, month, or a year, and you have established the fuge, and it breaks, or cracks.
Is it worth it then?? try the mod. it works, and built very well

Stick with mod the aquaclear or with till u see something used here that fit ur budget some of that stuff on eBay I don't trust

I did the mod previously on my AC110... works well. You can grow out your pods and chaeto in it.. provided you install a light above it.
I think I still have it around as well.

I bought the large one on kensfish.com for $10 made by Marina. I put chaeto in there and diverted some of the output from my mj powerhead. Using an air pump was too loud from the bubbles. I had a 6w led bulb in a desk lamp pointing at it. It works but you're limited on space. I had the equivalent of 2 cups in there. I originally want to use it for shrimp zoas but tried it for this. I wrapped tinfoil around it and under it to reflect the light back and prevent spilling I to that dt.

I used it up until I got the CPR from someone here.
