vortech mp10w es vs. mp40w es for 70g cube

Some input here please, some say get a mp40 should do the job for mixed reef, may end up all sps, some say get 2 x mp10w es, I have an mp10, and though about using one mp10 and one mp40, how about some feedback here:
A. one mp10 plus one mp40
B. two mp10s
C. just one mp40
For a 30x30x18 70g cube
I will have an awaki 30rxt return pump, for flow also.

Any combination of two Vortechs will offer you more control and the ability to use the 'W' (wireless) feature. Two of the MP10wES's would work great IMO.

I have a 57 rimless. 2 mp10wes. MORE then enough flow. I have both of them only running 60%. 100% on both knocks everything over. Way better to have 2, and pair them. I think a 40 personally is way to much for 30 inch long. Even with the width, 2 mp10wes would do the trick IMO.

+2 Have the same setup as ryangrieder and I love two mp10s there. I think for a tank that size it's much better to have two mp10's than one mp40. If you position them on opposite walls facing each other, you create a chaotic, non-directional flow throughout the tank, which is especially good for sps corals. It looks more natural too, with coral polyps waving in all directions. I haven't tried the wireless mode, because one of my mp10s is an old model, but I guess that would be even more interesting.

I have a 57 rimless and I have a mp40 that I have running about 50% with more than enough flow. But since u have a mp10 already if I was u I would go and get a mp10 w Es. Can change ur controller for ur mp10 make it a mp10 w Es. IMO

You can do it but you have to have it the mp 40 down.. I would say only about 1/4 % if ur running it with the mp 10

2 10s would work fine, save the money. 1 mp10 kicks butt in my 75, its probably stronger than the 20 on the opposite side. I get way better surface agitation with the 10 too.

yea I say 2 10's would do great the 40 is def over kill and of course you have more control w/ 2 instead of 1

Depends on what you want to grow, high flow i would get a mp40 and a mp10. you can always adjust the speed.
