As with all Tubastreas, start with night feedings, then feed during the day, to "teach it" to open up. After that if you put something in the water it will open up (mine open when I put my hands in the tank... and no my hands are not that disgusting :lol_large)
Something I had read once from Eric Borneman: enrich the food you give them with vitamins, it helps the creation of new heads. It does work for me (I just thaw cyclopeeze with 10 drops of Kent Coral-Vite for 10 minutes before feeding).
