Local tank builders?

Hi all, do we have any local or local'ish to New York and New Jersey custom tank builders?

I can't seem to find one in any searchs on forums or search engines.

If not I may go with these guys in the near future.

Who knows maybe someone whould like to do a small group buy to possible lower the shipping so it doesnt cost more than the actual tank.

Thank you, I requested info from them. You know I think I visted this store maybe 15-20 years ago and vaguely remember them building glass tanks there.

I also remember an asian guy that made tanks right outside in front of his pet store on the sidewalk in Brooklyn. In the china town area on 8th Ave. in the 50s.

my 180 was made by 1000 isl aquarium
very affordable!
The silicone isnt the neatest but the tank was solid and I had NO, ZERO problems with it the 5 years it was up.

as a standard they build tanks with a full canopy if you dont want specify
the only thing I did not like was the 14" glass support across the top.
that was my bad when I ordered the tank I didn't tell them I wanted an open to

there is also another builder on flatbush and ave M

Sounds good, When you say "a full canopy" do mean the kind out of wood? Im confused.

I understand the 14" brace. I dont think a tank of that size can be built without one. Or else the glass would have to be super thick maybe something like 1" :Yikes:.

If you want an Acrylic tank Kimoyo ( aka Paul) a vendor on this site is excellent. I had a 30X24X24 cube built by Paul the craftmanship is super.

World Class Aquariums is on Flatbush they've been building tanks there for a long time.

Thank you, I still have not gotten the tank so I will check them out too.
