I think I read somewhere on reefcentral about a guy that bought some LED lights for a car and used them on his tank. Does anyone know where I can find some LED's like these? Do they work? thanks
I bought some on ebay that are supposedly 250,000mcd per bulb. I cannot confirm that but they are so bright you cannot look at them directly. I bought blue LEDs and they really pop the colors of my corals. I wouldn't recommend them for anything other than moonlights.
For moonlight, almost any light will work as the purpose is to provide a little light for the fish to stay alert of predators or not get startled when you are passing by at night.
It depends on how bright and what color you want then you can choose from various manufacturer.
