Well, long story about Ronaldo...I had a shirt directly off him from the ground and had it signed..However, before i moved where i am now, i had it stolen..It was quite an insurance claim..But, as he is leaving Real now, i wont be able to get another..Unless i go to Inter in Italy where he is gonna be moving too...

And oh, sorry about them taking the jersey. It's bad enough when people steal things from you so I can only imagine things that are "irreplaceable" like this.

To be honest, out of the two i got..am glad they stole that one and not the other...they were in seperate rooms and the ronnie one was closest to the door...

It is irreplaceable yes....How-ever the other one insured for 5 times the ammount of the single signed shirt...

Sorry, did not see other post....

Yes, i am really bummed to be honest...I think he is an exceltional talent, a great personality and under the new manager he did not stand a chance, same as Beckham....

I really have faith in him to shine when he makes the move back to Inter and it will really pi** Fabio Cappello off...

As i only travel over to spain twice a month, i dont get that much of a chance to to speak to the people i usually see when i go to stadium...the people near to my seats are always changing cus they pass the season ticket round the family members...so they always change...But, the ones i have spoken to are disgraced at how Fabio Capello has treated players like Beckham, Ronaldo, Cassano...He needs replacing or i think he will destroy the team..

It is a shame for a team that's full of stars, really. Speaking of stars, you have any more signatures you're on the hunt for? Maybe Robinho's? :)

I know a little plumbing. (enough to do my tank, and all... ;) )

What are you having problems with? How is your tank drilled and how are you going to setup that sump?

Really impressive work Niko. An inspiration to rebuild my 125 factory stand to your standards. I'm impressed all around.

Cheers Mancrab...thanks for the positive comments...

Just a quick update for anybody who is watching this thread..

Had quite a good day on it today getting some of them small jobs done...Here is what i have done today..

1) Drilled the display tank..Drilled overflow, sump return and the two holes in the base for the closed loop.

2) Fitted 4 x 80mm fans to the hood, two at each end, all sucking air in. I have changed the lighting area a little bit ( the area between the water and the lights ), i have cut to long holes in the back for hot air to blown out of the hood. Reason for this, is because if i use the fans sucking air out, the fans i expect will only last 3 -4 months max as the air will be salty and it will corrode the fans bearings.

3) Started to silicon in the baffles in the sump.

4) Drilled the two holes on the stand base where the closed loop bulkheads go..

Had nearly all the plumbing parts delieved aswell as you can see, just waiting for a couple more bits, pic of the eheim 1260 and just waiting for the Ocean Runner 6500 pump to arrive.

Ordered today aswell 4 fan covers to fit to the outside of the hood to cover the circlular holes where the fans go..
Attached some more pictures for you all to see..They are not brill as i have used my mobile phone's camera ( which is s**t )..

Any feedback is always appreciated....

Niko

Hey there bleed...

Well, the plumbing layout was changed after i built the stand. I started off was just going to be using an overflow box and simple return..But, after a little deliberation, i decided to take the closed loop out of the bottom on one side, return it on the other and run a tube with outlets around the bottom of the tank with angled exits around the pipe. Making the outlets going from smaller to bigger so the flow out of them is more equalized. Using an Ocean Runner 6500 for the closed loop pump..Using 25mm pipe.. ( 1 inch ) for the pipe work...

A few people here in the UK all helped me (they have been a massive help) out with this as i know nothing about plumbing.

Well, when you get it plumbed out, post some pics of that! I'd like to see that tube with angled exits. ;)

Not posted for a bit, so will bring you all up to date from that last two weeks.....

Weir fitted into the tank..Closed loop pump fitted and all outlets fitted inside the tank that will direct channels of water through the live rock..Cut the weir comb out of 5mm perspex...messy job that was with plastic shavings going into every nook and cranny and fitted to the weir.....Sump light is fitted...Fused extention blocks fitted inside cabinet....

Did a full fill test over the weekend..Results are...

1) Gurgling sound coming from the overflow bulhead
2) Slight leak on the ocean runner pump connector that is on the closed loop pipe work...

On issue 1....I think that my return pump is returning water too fast back to the tank..If i clamp the flexi hose slighty that is between the return pump and the hard pipe work the gurgling near enough dissapears...For the time being, i hve "T"'d off the sump return, added a pipe and ball valve and directed some water back to the fuge..Downside of this is that there is less flow back to the display tank....

Issue 2....Leak now stopped...It was, i suppose, just a poor connector i brought for joining the Ocean Runner on to the 25mm pipe work...

Fitted plastic disks on to the two inner most closed loop outlets to reduce flow which will enable more flow to pushed round to the outside two outlets...works a treat aswell...

Fitted the hood fan covers...

Skimmer fitted in the sump...

So, at the moment..we are counting down to thursday morning when i am going to be standing down the old tank ( storing it all in the bath ) and moving the new setup into place....

a few more pics..

Ignore the pile of extra pipe's on top of the sump in one of the pics...that was the closed loop pipe work out of the display tank. Moved em all out of the tank so i could scrub it properly..
