Odyssey light help

OK be for you trash me for having this light it came with the tank. It is a 24in 175mh light. Well to no surprise the ballast tried to burn down my apt the other day. I am looking at an icecap 175 ballast to replace the cooked one this is over a 20g tank right now. now in the very near future i will be up grading to a 29g or a 58g (have the tanks sitting here) i was wondering:scratch: if anyone has upgraded this light up to a 250w mh and if so did you use a double ended light or change over to a screw in type of light. that and what type of reflector would you recommend, I am sure the one that came with it is a pos. I am hoping to only have to spend my money once. hope i posted this in the right spot Thanks Dave

500w on a 58g??? plus cf lighting wow that seems like a bit much but i am new to slat. that just seems like over kill for growing anything.
