Yes, I've been using the rotor for about 1 1/2 year already. I do not take it apart like the website had shown. The only thing I had taking out is the spring that makes the rotor pop up. The pages show the filter basket removed. But, my personal experience in doing so will make the rotor clog in 3 weeks, making it useless. With the basket on, within the 1 1/2 year of use, I only needed to replace about 2 rotors. I'm using another brand now, since the Orbit has 1/2" inlet only and it sticks really low into the tank. Removing the housing will make it higher, but once again, you run into the problem of not having the filter bastket.
