As most of us know, Nick (NYfireman) probably has the most expensive equipment list on the site. At least out of anyone I know. But with all this "top of the line" equipment, Nick uses a plastic, low budget sump with no baffles, no frills and can only be rivaled in "ghettoliciousness" by a Rubbermaid bin (sorry Nick, but I gotta bust your ba11s). The sump was causing some equipment issues, so I was tasked with a new sump build. Dimensions are 26"X21"X20". I used .25" domestic cast acrylic supported by baffles and a 1 inch splash guard around the top.
Here are some tools of the trade used to begin the build and the completed box. Cuts were made with a table saw and router. Straight edges and clamps are needed. After all cuts, I sand all edges.
