Hello all, I am going to need a few glass baffles cut to fit into a 75g sump I am making and was just wondering if anybody has any idea about how much I should be paying so I don't get overcharged too badly. I am going with 1/4" glass that is 17 3/8 wide by about 12" tall. Figuring I will need about 4 of them. Also what is everyones opinion about a sump that is set up non linear (Drain & Skimmer/Return/Refugium) do i need baffles coming off of the fuge as well or will a simple wall suffice as most bubble issues are from the skimmer and flow in fuge is low? Thanks in advance for any advice and have a great night

Save yourself some cash. No need to use 1/4" baffles. 1/8" is sufficient. You're going to have water on both sides of each baffle thereby creating zero pressure. They are just used as dividers with no load placed on them. I've built dozens and dozens of sumps for customers and have never ever used anything other than 1/8" and have had zero problems.

Also, make sure you request the glass shop to polish the edges after they cut the glass. If they don't, the exposed edge will be as sharp as a razor.

FYI, 1/8" x 17-3/8" x 10" have cost me $15-$20 for four.
