ideas for hanging LED fixture

Im sure this has been discussed in various places and many times, but I am looking for a way to hang 2 LED fixtures such as Radions. Live in apartment building and dont want my lights to shake every time someone upstairs walks over their floor so dont want to hang it from the ceiling. looking to hang it over the tank with either aluminum rods or somethng else that can be atached to the stand itself as hubby will a heart attack if I start drilling holes in the walls.

Please share ideas and pictures...

Conduit pipe and some HD's (not in the city sorry) I heard can bend it for you but not positive. Or you can buy something similar from Marine Depot for a lot more.

make a L bracket and attach it to the stand no worry about drilling walls and ceiling. will show a pic of mine when i get home tonight =D

Someone in MR used computer monitor stands and it looked really cool.
They could also be repositioned whenever they wanted to.

Yup! Go nuts... get some conduit brackets and you're good to go.

Or find an electrical shop near you and they will bend it for a few bucks if not free

Do you guys know if I can spray paint the conduit pipes black? Will it hold up over a saltwater tank? I dont want ay paint chips to end up in the tank :frown:

Yup, works fine. I used Krylon Fusion spray paint, it's reef safe after allowing it to fully dry (give it a few days in a well ventilated area).

conduit is galvanized, so you should wipe it down with vinegar and let it sit. it etches the galvanize so paint sticks better.

My well ventilated area will be my fire escape :eek1:. Can I get in trouble for that?
