Does it matter if i use glass or acrylic to make the baffles?
I no homedepot sells the acrylic but i dont want anything thin i want somthing think so when i install them and add water over time they dont bend .

If i go glass where can i buy glass and have them cut it there is no local glass place around my area to buy any from .

You're going to have to use glass baffles. Caulk doesn't bond to acrylic very well. They will end up leaking or fail altogether. As far as glass, home depot might have pieces for sale and you can cut it to size yourself or most local hardware stores sell glass.

I used acrylic with not a single issue. First off you don't use caulk, you use silicone. The silicone you use is called 100% Silicone Sealant for plastic sheets and other plastics. It bonds to glass as does any other silicone, with the exception it's formulated for acrylic etc. It can be bought at Home Depot in the millwork department where you'd find the acrylic sheets. My sump has been running for a year. It's a 20g long with 5 baffles. I used 1/4 acrylic for the baffles, they do not bend. Hope this helps. Cure time is also shorter with this version of silicone vs the typical even though I recommend allowing 48 hrs cure time. I have the sump build on my you tube channel if you're interested http://www.youtube.com/user/jamesconrey

GE makes 100% Silicone Sealant for plastic sheets and other plastics that works perfectly for acrylic in regards to acrylic sheeting and glass combo applications, hence sump builds. :)
