I have two purple plume gorgonia in my tank. The first one I got is doing wonderfully with its feathery plumes out and showy.
The second one isnt doing so good. The tips get a fuzzy algae on them and I keep trying to remove it every so often but to no avail. The tips are like white sticks now. It's in a place of med flow right next to the other gorgonia. Should I trim off the non purple tips?
And if that wasnt bad enough a superman mushroom decided to fall at the base of the gorgonia and where it was touching lost the purple but that area is black.
How should I care for it? The purple areas are looking like they want to put out their plumes finally, its still in the nubble state not full out feathery.
