Ok I would like to compile a list of Corals that are like marine weeds. When I started my tank I bought a Kenya tree (about 3") from Ming about 2 years ago. That thing grew like crazy! The original piece I bought split, grew to 8" and about 3" wide. Also they were releasing the tips and sprouting new ones where ever the small piece stuck to. After the old tank started leaking i removed all the Kenya from all the rock and it weighed almost 4lbs. Every rock had Kenya on it.

I also bought 1 tulip anemone (I believe thats what he called it) also from Ming the same day. Looks like a green anemone with red/pink tips about the size of a dime, Its split about 85 times and I ended up with a colony, mostly in the same spot but I did have about 20 on other rocks. I like these dont get me wrong but they grow like crazy. I have one rock that has the top covered in them, looks really cool to me. So those are my two added to the list.

Figured i could create this list for our newbie members incase they were looking into corals and didnt want their tank over run by them. Of course all corals grow and this could be avoided by trimming/removing but these spread FAST!

Fast growing Corals
Kenya Tree
Tulip Anemones
Green Star Polyps
Xenia
Mushrooms

I'm at the point where I'm trying to kill my mushrooms...they are reaching plague proportions...but they don't seem to die...even fresh strong kalk in the face and down the throat doesn't faze them for more than a few hours. I have had Montipora capricornus grow so huge that it blocks out a whole section of the tank...but then it dies back and I can start all over again with the surviving frags.

Nice zoos seem to grow slowly. Ugly ones multiply like crazy. Montipora capricornus also grows out of control unless you can get it to grow more vertical. Encrusting gorgonians grow over rocks like mad, unfortunately I've only seen brown ones.
