Ok, so after doing two water changes last week in hopes to dilute whatever it was that is causing my hammers and frogspawn to stress, slime, and retract up, I've come to a brick wall. Here are my water parameters as of tonight.
Temp - 77
Salinity - 34ppm
pH - 8.3
amonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - ~15
dKH - 7
PO4 - .05
Mg - 1200
Ca - 420
I noticed my alkalinity was a little low but thats new, it was around 9 two days ago. Not sure why it swung so much like that. Just added some buffer.
Anyway, not much has changed in my tank, these two corals have been fine for months and months. Its only been the past week or so that its going on. At first I thought it was something pestering it but I dont see anything during the day, nor at night when I look with a red light. I have even woke up several times during the past few night to look with no luck. I can't even say that its localized because even though my hammer colony and frogspawn are close to each other on one side of the tank, I have a hammer frag sitting low on the sand bed no where near the mother colony and frogspawn, and even that is stressed. Nothing has been introduced to the tank recently (except 2 small frags after all this started). None of my other LPS seem effected (acan, favia, chalice, candy canes). Is there something that is Euphyllia specific I should be looking for?
