What is best way to get rid of zoas that are over growing on a LR? I have bunch of SPS on same rock and don't want the zoas to overtake my sps.

I can try to sell the rocks, but they look very good in my rock layout. Was thinking to flipping the rock upside down, so zoas won't get any lights.

The Zoas are spreading all over the piece of LR and now its right next to my sps and touching it. Would it stung my sps? I know zoas may release chemical, but I have carbon to take care of that.

I know Ricordea will kill birdsnest, happened to me already, but zoas are ok?

I done more researching and Zoanthids can sting and significantly damage many SPS, so I do need to get rid of the zoos. Too bad I got alot watermelons and other nice zoos that is encrusting all over rock. I will have to reconfigure my rock layout if I were to keep them.

I don't want to kill the zoas, so I'm just going to have to sell the LR with Zoas on it.

Will post them when I have a chance.

One Huge piece with zoas and rainbow color Ricordea on it.
One smaller piece with watermelon zoas
One with all green color zoas.

pm if interested. I'm in Manhattan.

I had zoas on a rock that I:
Hosed down with fw.
Let sit in the back yard for a week
Bleached for a week
Cycled with my LR in the dark for 2 months.
Bleached again,

I still cant get the buggers off the rock.

Hopefully they're dead now, and will just decompose when the rocks go through final cycle.

wow, looks like I really have to sell LR or reconfigure my rocks so they won't touch and spread more zoas. Didn't think these Zoas are so tough.
