i have the dreaded little red bastards in my tank and i know from all that has been said on here and other forums that they are bad but i remember reading someone's thread on here that he has them to and opted not to treat because he seen no ill effects from the little red flea bags. now even tho i have these suckers and i do have the interceptor tabs ready, my sps are vividly colored and showing good growth rates. i'm just from that train of thought that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I (personally) would try and eliminate them, you may not be showing serious damage yet but over time it could cause serious problems not to mention possibly spreading them to other peoples tanks if you trade or sell frags, some people may not appreciate that. If your not going to treat them (it is, after all, your choice) you should do the polite thing and make sure anyone receiving frags from you knows you have red bugs, so they can treat for them, and not get a nasty suprise.

i would never sell/trade any frags from my tank without letting the person know that i have the little pests. as far as treating goes, i'm just going to monitor the corals for any signs of degradation

Just did the interceptor treament on my 150. All red bugs are gone, as far as I can see. I did the treament because I noticed my acros weren't extending there polyps as much and there colors weren't as vivid as they once were. I'm glad I did it. What a simple treament. And my Cleaner shrimp made it too. Tons of articles on this treament on the internet.
