Dipping Your New Corals

This thread is just to get suggested information for all our members on how, and which method is best to dip corals bought from the frag swap. Anyone with good information please post on method and procedure in example what your using to dip, for which type coral(Sps,Lps,Softy) How long are you dipping the coral for and so on. Thanks for all your input that will help us keep are tanks pest free.

interceptor for sps ( red bug ) 2 hr's in bowl with ph
zoa's 5 minute fw dip and 5 minute's in a iodine solution
not getting any lps so no idea
warning this is what i do, not saying for you to do
as well as breaking out magnifying glass to look corals over

Dipping is useless against some pests, especially monti eating nudibranches.

FWE dips are common. From my research dipping corals in water mixed with fresh crushed cloves of garlic can rid them of certain pests but you need to be very careful of the time the frag sits in said dip.

does anyone know if interceptor or lugols or any other product for dipping corals will be available at the swap, I got nothing right now
