Hammer splitting?

I've had this hammer for 2 weeks and noticed it had what looked like stretch marks yesterday and now today at the base of a stretch mark there is a tiny new tentacle. I also noticed there is now 2 mouths.
When do you think it will start to split?


And BTW my sexy shrimp and peppermint shrimp both molted the day i noticed the stretch marks... should you take the molts out or leave it in?

Could be a while. The flesh might split soon, for an entire split of the branch and all I'd guess maybe a month or a few since your tank is still young.

It looks like its splitting but like said it might be a while and a skeleton needs to grow in order to go with the whole split process. I would say it might take longer than a month.
