Hello everyone.
I have a question.
Is there a safe way to remove yellow polyps and mushrooms from live rock?
My tank is being taken over by both.
I don't want so many but, I don't want to get rid of my live rock.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

take a toothpick and start picking or rather scrapping at the rock where they are attached this does hurt them and they will need more time to heal but its the best way to take them off and not hurt ur LR. they won't die but they won't be happy either hope u have a nice place to allow them to heal and attach.

I'm going to try this when I have some free time.
I will frag them then leave them in the front of my tank till they heal.
Thanks.

Scrape them off the rock and try taking some of the rock with it otherwise they may regenerate from what ever is left on the rock. Some may die but most will probably continue growing.

Thanks.
I'll do that.
Funny...
When I first got them,
I thought they were going to stay on one rock in one side of the tank.
These things grow on the opposite side too..:irked:
