i had a bunch of zoa's just close up and never return found these upon close inspection

Aaron, they are exactly what Mike called them, zoanthid eating spiders.

def . not starfish i had a colony of real nice zoos for the longest time when i had my larger tank i recently got some zoos from a online vendor about a month after that this colony went south. i take the blame for this there are dips you can do to prevent these pest

Whenever I get new zoas I do a quick freshwater dip. I don't have any (that I know of), but will that get rid of these buggers? BTW, they look like some sort of crustacean.

I don't do a quick fresh water dip I leave them in fresh water for 10 minutes and then swish them around to make sure nothing is hanging on to the zoos, they usually open back up in a few hours or the next day
