Hi, I got a small green open brain coral that was stung by galaxea! Some areas on the coral are turning red and dying. Is there any way to save this coral from death? Please help! Thank you!!
 I think the only way possible to save the other part of the coral that isn't dead yet is to try to frag it off and hopefully it will grow back to its original size in time.
it's located on the bottom of my 24 gallon nano with 150 metal halide lighting! I don't have any pictures now, but can have them later. Thanks for your time!
Don't try fragging it cause you'll probably do more harm than good but stressing out the coral even further.
You can feed it cyclopeeze and as Lissa said move it to place where it won't be disturbed. I'd move it to a place with moderate flow and just a little less light.
I had a red lobo that was shifted into my bubble coral by something (hermit crab, probably) while I was away for a month. It got very badly stung. I just moved it away into an area where it wouldn't be disturbed and fed it mysis at night. the flesh still hasn't all come back, but it looks pretty good. They are slow growers so it might take some time to recover.
1. blow the cyano off of it with a turkey baster
2. feed it.
it will probably live (provided your tank is stable and everything else is thriving) but it will take a while for the flesh to grow back. DO NOT frag it.
