Anyone has luck with the green goniopora? after I bought it it was all opened up and happy for a couple of days, and now it's just refusing to open up. I tested the water parameters and everything is perfect.

I just read online that it doesn't do well in captivity.
If you own one of these and it's doing good, can you tell me your secret? :)

Thanks!

Unfourtanetly there survival rate is dismal. Ive tried with a goorgeous and the same thing occured at first it was open and nicest coral in tank, but after a few weeks section by section, wouldnt open till it was eventually just a skeleton with slime onit. I have read articles of people being successf and actually having the growl .I believe the elemen that they credit with the success was frequent feedings, like 1 or 2 times a day.

Ill try and find it

Hey i have one for 3 months now doing great new polyps. open alot but it has a very delicate personality. closes for 24 hours after a water change closes if water is to soft closes if water is to strong. but when ammonia is kept below .025 and trates are 0 it will do very well.. i have it under 130 pc 10k lights but i keep it high up im getting mh soon so ill lower it
any kmore questions contact me by pm or reef berry

i love this coral but needs to be under very very strict conditions.... i have clowns with it and they dont really go near it..as long as you have a polypy coral or anemone it will be fine

good luck
