i agree with the above recommendations.

However i think i will start feeding my acans and larger micros live guppies. just wanted to see if that will speed up their growth. I also think that it might pollute the water less.

Live guppies? Could you please tell me how is the acan going to catch it?

For now i can think of 2 ways.

1. use a grabber

2. use a 3/4" -1" tube that is long enough to reach the acan and just slip some guppy down the tube.

Not sure how well it's gonna work, cuz i haven't tried it yet.

Another idea i have is to acclimate a few mollies to sw. Then let them bump uglies and fart babies out in the tank. i think if the babies get close enough, the acans grab'em.

Just a thought for now. I will try it soon.

i do that already. just wanted to try a different type of food to see if it affects growth.

most of my micros are large enough to take small guppies. Also, it really is for my acan lords, and some for the larger micros i own.

not all frags are micros, but most are. some r acquired as aussi micro. They tend to have larger polyps than others. Most non aussie micros are acquired from reedoctormicromussas.com.

in a pic #2 : the echinata is on the left and a aussi micro is on the right. just so you can compare.
