Hi

I just got mine for a couple of days and I don't know if it looks right. I tried to feed them last night but they don't open up. I feed them the same way I would feed Sun Coral only difference is the lights are on. Still early? Any advice from anyone sucessfully keeping them would be great thanks. Do you guys have pics of them when they are closed? I will post my pics when I get home tonight.

Oh they are in my low flow refug. now.

Thanks

Thanks I did a search before I posted. I read them already. I put them into the fuge "ICU" care because they don't look too well... Here are the pics. Need some advice. I think one of them is dead (the big one) (pic 3&4)? I can see the big yellow skeletal spot in the middle.

Those are VERY unhappy, possibly unhealthy dendrophyllias. Even when closed, you should not see the skeletal detail and definitely not the skeleton's color.

Yes, they look very starved. What did you try feeding the dendro with?
At that condition, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have enough energy to feed. Maybe try feeding something small for now, pellets perhaps.

If all else fails, I would try placing them in plastic container and squirt cyclo-peeze at the mouths, and let them sit there for a few mins.

Good luck with them.

dont worry, they can recover. denros r actually very easy to keep. as long as your water is good, n no predation, it should do well. i think they recover better in the shade with moderate flow. as long as the flesh is not receding, it will get better.
